The image of the building is dominated by a horizontal dominant, which visually adds static form. It is represented by a large canopy on the upper level and a mirrored plinth, which flows into the space of the terrace on the lower level. The rhythm of windows and wooden rails, as well as vertical lines of pine trees in the background act as contrasting elements.  The dark range of colors gives the cottage a certain restraint. However, in the evening warm light fills the house with a cozy atmosphere.
